Project Detail
Aresphere
“Aresphere” is a support object created in response to the “Michael Benson: Planetfall” exhibition at Toronto Metropolitan University's Image Arts Centre. Within the gallery’s tripartite spatial narrative Earth, Mars, and the outer solar system, “Aresphere” marks a critical midpoint, beautifully blending the scientific imagery of Mars with a poetic interpretation of the Martian atmosphere.

"Aresphere"
Inspired by mars, the title combines “Ares,” the Greek god of war, referencing Mars’ mythological roots, with “sphere,” evoking not only the planet’s form but also the organic qualities of its atmosphere.

Acting as both a spatial and conceptual threshold, "Aresphere" shapes the narrative of exploration, challenging us to engage with the known and unknown.
